No More eBay on Blogger Blogs

Well it looks like the unbelievably short sighted morons that run eBay have come up with yet another totally harebrained and wholly disastrous scheme to dig their affiliates a little harder where it hurts.

This latest sad excuse for a way forward involves removing all eBay widgets and links from any domains that affiliates don't actually own themselves. That includes Blogger blogs, because of course we only own the log and not the domain blogspot.com which is owned by Google.

So sadly, my affiliate links and widgets have to go from here.

What does this mean to affiliates? It means a further reduction in the income they can generate from what are some damn successful blogs. Blogger blogs, when used correctly can rank really well in the Google index simply because they're already well optimized to do that. They can generate a lot of traffic and that traffic can convert really well into eBay sales. More for eBay and more for their affiliates.

So what do the imbeciles that run that sorry excuse for a business do?

They decide they don't want that traffic or those4 sales generated by the affiliates from domains they don't directly own. Why is that? They say its because they want to be able to more accurately track where the traffic is coming from.

Oh great! A damn statitician has taken over the reins and is telling those feeble minded executives how to run their business. Just lose a huge slice of your business so the dickhead can pour over his statistics and be able to tell you exactly where you just lost a few $million in sales because the affiliates that were driving the traffic from their blogger blogs just sent it all to Amazon instead!

Ha ha you stupid fools!

I bet Amazon are running their hands together watching the eBay boardroom doing everything they can to destroy a thriving business all because they are too arrogant to listen to common sense reason. Shall I spell it out for you feeble minded morons?

THE AFFILIATES CONTROL THE TRAFFIC

Whoever controls the traffic gets to say where that traffic is directed to. They say which company they'll send all their targeted search engine traffic to and that'll be the one that pays the best affiliate commissions. That company was eBay, but not any more. No, they don't want all this traffic, obviously. So we're going to send it to their rivals so we aren't out of pocket !
